Distributed Integrity Temperature Testing
Key Features of A2AM DTIT System
- Cost-effective installation: Fibre optic cables can be configured in even or odd numbers, positioned equidistant around the reinforcement
- No pre-installation required: Avoids damage during transportation and lifting
- Baseline temperature measurements: Taken after reinforcement placement, using a Raman frequency shift to ensure stability (<0.5°C variation)
- Intermittent measurements: Conducted hourly during concrete curing for quality checks; technical assessments rely on two key measurements
- Integrity assessment: Based on peak and reference temperature profile differences, no real-time data needed for analysis
- Concrete mix specific evaluation: A 7-day test establishes heat development for each concrete mix; new evaluations are needed for mix changes, which can run parallel to site operations
- Optional concrete flow monitoring: Real-time tracking of concrete rise during pouring to maintain tremie embedment
Additional Monitoring Applications
- Concrete maturity monitoring: For large infrastructure such as slip forms, slabs etc.
- Leakage detection: Embankment seepage detection
- Power cable monitoring: Long-term temperature monitoring for on-shore / off-shore cables
- Fire detection: Monitoring in tunnels, buildings, and other structures
